First Class Press

First Class Press was created by Larry Cavanagh as a way to help beginning (self-published), authors & illustrators, as well as International Publishers get their productsto the Canadian market. Working in conjunction with Connections: The Campus Store and The Print Shop at Algonquin College, they provided a one stop solution for book printing and distribution. As the industry has changed, FCP has too. While we still help (new) authors and Illustrators realize the joys of seeing their creations become a reality, we now do so as an imprint of TotalRecall Publishing. For our authors and publishing partners, we feature competitive printing rates and, through Connections we are able to distribute your book(s) to individuals as well as other companies. We also do companion marketing with the author to better expose their works. We are a Self Publishing Solution, NOT a Vanity Press. We do not charge you to print your book or to add it to our web-searchable (and on-line order-able) database, however we do not pay any advances. We strictly pay a royalty based on the sales of the book, though our royalty model utilizes a price share model that is as good as you can find in the business. For us to take on a new book, it must be edited, formatted and have a cover ready to go - we can help you find people to help with this, but we do not do this ourselves.
