First Responder Chaplain Corps

FRCC seeks to establish and support first responder chaplains and the agencies they serve. We focus on actively engaging first responders - fire, police, EMS, and dispatch personnel. We believe first responders need and deserve properly trained chaplains who understand both the culture and unique stress of the primary first responder disciplines. We believe in continuing education and being "on sight with insight" in the departments we serve. We are not looking for a huge number of chaplains. In fact, we are very particular in our vetting and training requirements. This is due to the many years we've been active serving first responders in their departments. The strength of a chaplain is forged in times of calm - this is where the true value of a chaplain is found. In fostering relationships and trust with first responders, a chaplain plays a preemptive and proactive role. Time of crisis are more frequent than we'd like to see. But times of calm are even greater. Chaplains must do the hard work long before a crisis comes. We are fully committed to developing chaplains in a mentoring and coaching atmosphere. There's tons of training a chaplain can take. And, there are many chaplain organizations to be a part of. But FRCC seeks to be hands on with the chaplains we have in our ranks offering regular support, camaraderie and care.
