First Ward Capital Management (FWCM) was founded in February 2016 by two former members of Round Table Investment Management, an SEC-registered investment adviser with peak firm-wide AUM of more than $1 billion. The core FWCM team has operated as a cohesive unit with positive results for over six years. Accordingly, FWCM brings the maturity and knowledge of effective hedge fund operations from front office and risk taking to back office and technology. The firm is based in Charlotte, NC and offers a global macro strategy. FWCM plans to commit capital across major liquid asset classes via a quantitatively intensive investment process. The firm believes that its unique integration of quantitative and discretionary capital allocation processes upholds the empirical rigor of a quantitative approach to capital allocation while incorporating key elements of a discretionary methodology, namely its flexibility and capacity to account for inputs which are inherently more difficult to quantify. The strategy, over time, is expected to produce low betas to any particular asset class over a full market cycle.
