Our role, as Community Play Specialists, is to act as a resource and advocate for children, adolescents, and their whānau in challenging and complex moments. We work in the environment where your family is most comfortable to support the whole family to cope with a variety of medical situations. We focus on coping plans and other developmentally-appropriate support strategies through education, information, and guidance using play based learning opportunities. Our goal is to ease trauma and reinforce resilience.
