Fix It For Post

When I first started working in production, one of my favorite editors* used to say: “It’s not open heart surgery.” No one is going to die if we make a mistake or have to push back a deadline. We shouldn’t be working 80 hours a week to meet unrealistic expectations, or losing sleep trying to figure out how to get everything done. It’s not open heart surgery. I can’t control production schedules or wave a magic wand to change our culture that celebrates over-working. But I’ve learned how to automate the most tedious, soul-destroying stuff and achieve something vaguely resembling work-life balance. And that?
