Flash Fiction Online

Flash Fiction Online is the largest flash fiction magazine operating today. Founded in 2007 by Jake Frievald and currently published by Anna Yeatts, Flash Fiction Online is guided by Editor-in-Chief Suzanne W. Vincent and publishes both literary and genre fiction. All stories are between words. Unlike many of its competitors, Flash Fiction Online pays professional rates and charges no submission or reading fees, believing money should pass from the publisher to the author instead of the other way around. A new monthly issue is published on the first of every month and contains three new pieces of flash fiction and one reprint plus a writing advice column. A yearly anthology has been published every year since 2014. Flash Fiction Online is financed by a subscriber model (Weightlessbooks.com), selling individual issues on Amazon.com, anthology sells, ad sales, and the generous support of its Patrons (Patreon.com/flashfictiononline). Flash Fiction Online has published such notable authors as Caroline M. Yoachim, Chuck Rothman, A.T. Greenblatt, Natalia Theodoridou, Tom Crosshill, John Wiswell, Shveta Thakrar, Matt Dovey, Rachel K.
