Flipping Youth

Flipping Youth is a UK registered charity aiming to empower young people internationally through action sports and the arts. We will provide free of charge public facilities and equipment for creative outlets, in particular action sports such as skateboarding, inline skating, BMX, scooter and surfing. Our goal is for these facilities to be a community hub in our chosen locations, encouraging young people to divert their energy into positive outlets. Flipping Youth employs action sports as a way to help transform the lives of people in impoverished areas, particularly young people, by creating dynamic new paths to self-confidence. We focus on working with young people to encourage them to build a sense of responsibility for each other and their communities. The personal challenges offered by action sports creates enjoyment through learning how to overcome obstacles, using energy creatively and promoting a healthy lifestyle. We identify and work in areas suffering from high rates of gang crime, youth violence and limited resources for creative outlets.
