Curriculum focuses on employment-related English, common business practices, and social skill development. Float Your Boat increases student engagement while making class management and assessment easier. | Two courses, Float Your Boat English and Float Your Boat Español are available. Courses support self-guided, individual learning, and to be useful for one-on-one or small group instruction. The curriculum follows the employment life cycle; Find a Job, Start a Job, Keeping a Job, Getting a Better Job. Lessons can be applied immediately in everyday job search and employment situations. They are tailored to improve our customers’ chances of employment, workplace, economic and social success. There are interactive tools like a vocabulary/pronunciation flash cards, online resume builder and online job application practice. All content is available in Spanish and English, everything can be downloaded for print, and all lessons and most blogs feature audio accompanying the text. Courses are available by no-commitment, monthly subscription for individuals, and organizations that serve groups (7-day free trial).
