Flying Kite Occupational Therapy

Flying Kite OT provides mobile occupational therapy services to clients within Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Central Coast NSW. Services are primarily catered towards neurodivergent adolescents and adults and those living with mental health disorders, though due to the complex interrelationship between psychosocial health, physical disability and neurodivergence, a range of services are offered in order to provide individualised and holistic therapy. Services include: functional capacity assessments, SIL/SDA/ILO housing assessments and reports, equipment assessment and prescription, activity-based mental health therapy, life skills training and retraining and fine motor skills development. Flying Kite OT additionally implements ecotherapy (outdoor and nature-based therapy) where feasible and appropriate to optimise mental health outcomes while improving physical health and capacity-building in a range of functional activities. Flying Kite OT is owned and operated by Greta Kite-Gilmour, a fully qualified Occupational Therapist with a background in human physiology, sensory processing and psychology. She holds a Master of Occupational Therapy, a Bachelor Degree in Science, a Graduate Certificate in Human Movement Science and a Certificate in Ecotherapy. Greta has 6+ years of disability, NDIS and mental health experience and has a passion for providing neuroaffirmative, holistic and individualised therapy services to each of her valued clients.
