Over almost 135 years of existence, the Herstal Group has been capable of the most varied achievements, both military and civilian : from machine guns to motorcycles, via aircraft engines and hunting guns. In 2008, the Herstal Group decided to set up a public utility foundation to preserve the witnesses of these major technological developments and designs. Since then, the Ars Mechanica Foundation has been working to preserve and promote this unique industrial heritage in order to perpetuate the identity of the Herstal Group and its subsidiaries WW.
