Food Systems Collective

Food Systems Collective is a mission-driven social enterprise organisation established in 2025 but with its origins from Food Microbiology Academy, established in 2019. We are dedicated to transforming the future of food and beverage manufacturing while empowering the next generation of STEM professionals. We work with industry partners to create game-changing improvements in food systems by making data-driven and digital solutions—including AI, data science, IoT, automation, computational modelling, and bioinformatics—accessible and commonplace. Through targeted consulting and R&D projects, we help organisations modernise processes, strengthen food safety and quality, optimise operations and adopt innovative technologies with confidence. Alongside our industry work, we run education and training programs designed specifically for students and early-career professionals from low- to middle-income countries who aspire to build careers in food science, microbiology, biotechnology, and broader STEM fields. We aim to increase global STEM participation and strengthen workforce readiness through workshops, short courses, career development programs and mentoring. At Food Systems Collective, we believe that the future of food is safer, smarter, data-enabled, and globally inclusive—and we are committed to building it.
