Foodbiomes

FOODBIOMES is a new distributed research infrastructure of the Agri-food sector established in Greece aiming to offer world-class research, education and innovation services exploring the impact of microbiome applications in food systems. FOODBIOMES is a partnership consisting of research groups and laboratories from the Democritus University of Thrace, which stands as the Coordinator, the Ionian University, the Aegean University and the University of Ioannina. Going through a three-year preparatory phase, more than 70 researchers and professionals with deep interest in microbiome applications are building the foundations of FOODBIOMES with a vision to create one of the main pillars for the national and international research ecosystem of the Agri-food sector. FOODBIOMES welcomes and embraces collaborative projects and actions within the aspects of the knowledge triangle.
