Foodsharing Delft

Foodsharing Delft is an initiative against food waste that was found in 2019 by some students of Delft University of technology. The aim is to promote sustainable living by saving and redistributing food waste and creating a grassroots movement based on awareness. Food sharing is supported by numerous volunteers who save overproduced and unwanted food and distribute it using our communal fridge. We are a growing community bringing together everyone passionate about reducing food waste by creating opportunities to make new friends by collaborating and organizing events. Foodsharing Delft aims to raise awareness about how to reduce food waste around Delft. We pick up food waste from local shops and the market and distribute it using our communal fridge. Foodsharing is a growing community bringing together everyone passionate about reducing food waste by creating opportunities to make new friends – for example, at our no-waste dinners.
