Force Investigations Team (F.I.T.) is a training and evaluation company specializing in the spectrum of Use of Force issues. F.I.T. is headed by Danny King, an active 20 year law enforcement veteran. Danny's specialty is focused full time in the area of Use of Force Training, Investigations, and Critical Incident Reviews. As needed, Danny contracts with working trainers and investigators for their specialized and collective experience. Danny's experience includes using force as a patrolman, detective, and K9 handler. Since 2012 he has been responsible for training and investigating use of force for nearly 500 officers. F.I.T. specializes in 3 areas: 1. Use of Force Training for law enforcement officers: F.I.T. can provide training for agencies or associations in the issues that make using force less controversial to the public and more defensible in litigation or internally. We can also evaluate your current use of force training program to ensure your agency is meeting present standards. Critical Incident Reviews: Critical Incident Reviews are usually done when agency wants to learn from an incident or to determine if its operations led to the incident, and to what extent. The agency also wants to know how to prevent its occurrence again. Without a thorough review, the facts of what actually happened can be distorted by opinions, bad-facts and rumors. The best reviews do not point fingers, but allow an agency to learn from what has happened. Administrative Use of Force Investigations Evaluation: The Use of Force against a citizen is rare, and rarer still is an allegation of excessive force. The incredible power and responsibility of law enforcement officers must be effectively monitored by their leaders and investigated properly when accusations are made.
