Forest Operations Research
The University of Stellenbosch Forest Operations Research team has three broad objectives. First, we want to understand the implications of forest operations research and economic factors across the whole timber supply chain. Second, we want to be, or be the conduit of, subject experts to the consortium partners with: international contacts, guidance of systems thinking and systems based knowledge, and remaining relevant. Finally, third, we want to explore forest operations research with a systems approach, including plantation management planning (growth and yield) and plantation management economics.
