Adivasi communities almost never have the negotiating power to trade their resources, which includes Minor Forest Produce such as honey, resin, beeswax. There is a huge gap between these communities and the market. Brand Forest Post asserts value for forest produce, placing forest communities right at the centre. We link harvest of forgotten wilds with fair prices, bring women’s enterprises together for value-addition of locally available forest produce, and present curated products to discerning customers in urban markets. Women in our production units earn 35% more than they did before Forest Post intervention. In the process, Forest Post brings to market a delightful collection of forest-related products in the nature-based personal care segment; seasonal, limited stock wild foods segment; and woven and crafted bamboo and macramé curios and collectibles, jewellery and home use products.
