Forever Welcome Foundation

Forever Welcome was born out of a racially motivated hate crime. On February 22, 2017 in Olathe, Kansas, a white supremacist opened fire on Srinivas Kuchibhotla and Alok Madasani – coworkers and immigrants from India – at a bar and grill as they enjoyed a drink after work. A third restaurant patron, Ian Grillot, was injured as he tried to intervene. Alok and Ian survived, but Srinivas did not. Srinu, as his wife, Sunayana Dumala, affectionately calls him, was living his American Dream before it was tragically cut short by hatred. United by our human experience, Forever Welcome works to advance the American Dream by fostering inclusive and welcoming communities through awareness, advocacy, and action. We generate empathy and understanding for people who immigrate to the U.S. by bringing their personal journeys and contributions to light.
