Metal manufacturing doesn’t fail because it lacks intelligence. It fails because it lacks control. We’re building a control layer for advanced metal manufacturing, starting with wire-based additive processes, that locks how metal is produced, not just how it’s planned. Our work focuses on establishing controlled, repeatable process envelopes across critical industrial alloys, including steels, aluminium systems, nickel-based alloys, titanium, and refractory metals. By enforcing fixed process parameters and controlled execution envelopes, we ensure repeatable and auditable manufacturing outcomes across machines, sites, and operators. This control layer provides the foundation required to qualify, deploy, and scale advanced metal manufacturing in mission-critical industries where reliability and traceability matter most. This control layer establishes the precondition for safely introducing advanced optimisation and AI/ML, by first qualifying a new, repeatable way of making metal.
