Fortidsminneforeningen

The National Trust of Norway (Fortidsminneforeningen) works for the preservation of our country's cultural monuments and built heritage. Our goal is to raise awareness of their historic intrinsic value and pass on the knowledge of traditional craftsmanship to future generations. Established in 1844, our organization is built up of committed volunteers and members. We own and maintain 40 culturally significant properties throughout the country, including eight of Norway´s 28 remaining stave churches.
