Forward Marshall

Forward Marshall started as a small grassroots group of citizens meeting and discussing ways that we could improve our community. Over time, we learned that we shared many common needs and wants for an improved community, including an overall desire for a higher quality of life than is currently available. We soon realized that the issues and tasks we faced within the community were simply too large and complex for us to accomplish without being better organized. We also recognized that we would need the involvement of businesses and other citizens within the community if we were to be successful. Motivated to succeed, our small group organized into a non-profit corporation that could better serve the community's needs by working directly with citizens, businesses, local governments, regional councils, state & federal government, and other citizens groups. Citizens and local businesses continue to join in with us providing their input for assessing our common needs and helping with the planning efforts necessary for us to transform our community into one that truly meets our expectations. As we continue to be shaped by the inputs from within our own community, the needs and wants expressed become our united voice. We are using this united voice as the catalyst to help bring about the development of Comprehensive Planning to guide the improvement efforts that the citizens need, want, and expect. It is through these careful planning efforts that we the people of Marshall, TX shall determine our path forward. We do this to improve our own quality of life and create economic opportunities available to all citizens and businesses within our city.
