FotoKraft - the JEC Photography Club is an amateur photographers club started by a group of students of Jorhat Engineering College in the year 2012 on the 18 of April. The Club aims at promoting the interest of students in the Field of photography. It also acts as the Photo-Journalists of JEC and does pictorial documentation of the college- any event occuring in the college is covered by this club. So far the club has covered many noteworthy and important college events like the Golden Jubilee of the College itself, the Golden jubillee of Hostel no.4, the Silver Jubilee of Hostel no.6 and two consecutive Techno-cultural festivals of the college- Phoenix 2012 and 2013. Besides that the other activities of the clubs inculdes photo-shootouts, holding photography-workshops and photo exhibitions. The club has its own photo gallery in the college premises which is renewed every month with new pictures of college events and others.
