Coffee has never felt so good. In June 2019, after working in specialty coffee across Australia and Indonesia for 18 years, our founder, Leighton Walters, moved to Toronto, Canada with a dream. A dream that surpasses geographical borders, cultural differences or socio-economic barriers - to find coffee and find people. To recreate that feeling you get when you find something you have been looking for your whole life - a cafe community experience that doesn’t just look good and taste good, but feels good and does good too. In early 2020, amidst the global pandemic of COVID-19, Leighton saw pain and the potential. Life as we knew it was rocked to the core as communities, families and business were forced into quarantine and lockdown for an indefinite period of time. Found Coffee’s dream is to be more than a coffee shop - to be a community serving the community. Found Coffee believes that coffee is more than a caffeine hit, it is the conduit of community - an everyday opportunity to impact someone’s life for the better. We are passionate about people over profit. Focused on social justice, instead of social status. A cafe consumed with environmental sustainability, ethical sourcing and community service.
