Foundation For Sustainable Development

FSD envisions a world where all people have the opportunity and capacity to direct economic, social, and environmental resources toward sustainable outcomes that improve their lives and communities. In order to advance this vision, we focus on community engagement through asset-based development and international exchange in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Our program sites are in six countries and 7 sites, where for almost two decades we have supported more than 250 community partner organizations and trained more than volunteers. Our community development efforts have maintained an ongoing project sustainability rate of nearly 80 percent, addressing health, social, environmental, and economic issues by responding to community priorities and offering training, grants, and volunteer support to our community partners.
