Foundation Support Systems is a piling and underpinning specialist in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Our company was started by the late Mr Ian Buchanan in 1988 as a general building contracting company and in 2008 started specializing in piling and underpinning. His business has now been inherited by his wife and is run by his daughter, Mandy Buchanan. We use a bottom driven steel cased piling system using a pneumatic mole (Grundomat) to drive the steel pipes into the ground until they reach refusal or adequate levels of friction. Our system is ideally suited for working in areas where other piling systems may have problems with access. We are also able to do open trench piling for new buildings.
