Fountainhead Gallery

A fountainhead is a spring that is the source of a stream. It is an irrepressible force and, that it emerges from the earth, is symbolic of the creative life force that resides within every individual and is one with the cosmos in the same way that a stream or river is connected to the great ocean. This irrepressible force which resides in the depths of our life, yearns to emerge and contribute its unique character to the good of all life—to revive, nurture and inspire, to give of itself in creative and compassionate action as it winds its way back to the great ocean of life in a never-ending continuum. Serene and spacious Fountainhead Gallery, founded in 1996 by current owners Ron and Sue Peterson, is located on a light filled, lovely corner of McGraw Street on Queen Anne hill. This sophisticated gallery features work done by some of the best and most beloved Pacific Northwest and International artists. For those seeking to view a variety of quality visual art, Fountainhead offers rotating monthly exhibits in the Main Gallery. Additional work is exhibited on the Mezzanine overlooking the first floor. The roomy, high ceilinged, 600 sq ft back room displays work by Gallery artists not in the current month's featured exhibit. A visit to Fountainhead provides a rewarding and enriching experience. The personable and friendly staff are willing to chat and are very welcoming, creating a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
