We are an academic, textbook, and literary publishing house in St. Louis City. Our textbook imprint focuses on high-quality lower-cost textbooks primarily in the social sciences for college and university students. Currently, our biggest markets are Missouri and Texas, including at the University of Missouri, Lincoln University (Jefferson City, Mo.) and Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Tex. Currently, we are expanding our nonfiction, textbook offerings to include law school textbooks. We expect the first of these to be released in time for the Fall 2018 semester. Our literary imprints focus primarily on publishing or representing communities of color, language minorities, trans and gender non-binary communities, gay and lesbian communities, as well as generally undiscovered writers in St. Louis. We issue calls for works and will review unsolicited submissions. However, we are not a self-publishing company, and we will not accept submissions in exchange for a payment by a writer. Our authors often receive advances from us, not the other way around.
