Fourth Vital is transforming chronic kidney disease (CKD) prevention through the world’s first non-invasive, AI-powered early-warning system — built for in-home use and grounded in clinically validated science. Our wearable device detects early-stage CKD and progression using a combination of physiological and social biomarkers, long before current tests can. The problem is urgent: CKD is irreversible, yet 90% of patients don’t know they have it until it’s too late. By 2034, over 15% of the world will be affected, with global treatment costs projected to exceed $1.6 trillion. Today’s diagnostics catch the disease far too late. Our solution goes beyond detection: We provide real-time analytics, clear visualizations, and intuitive tools to help clinicians manage CKD more effectively — reducing hospitalizations and improving quality of life. In the U.S. alone, our platform has the potential to cut over $150B in annual CKD-related costs. The annual impact is similarly massive in Canada (CAD $40B+) and Germany (EUR €50B+).
