Free Trade Zone is a metaverse project. The project was launched on the 1st of January 2021, on the same day as the Operationalisation of the African Continental Free Trade Area. The project scope is centered around the foundational principles of creating a single virtual continental marketplace, without trade barriers. One of our key tenets is that to boost Intra-Africa Trade and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), we need to go borderless, ensuring a steady free flow of capital. It is our goal to ensure that the local demand for capital, is met with both local and global supply of the same, within an interactive virtual environment. Decentralization of Finance will be key to unlocking value for SMMEs, which account for 80% of Africa's active enterprises.
