Freedom Golf Association

FGA is a 501(c)(3) company dedicated to bringing a sense of freedom and joy to those with special needs through the game of golf. FGA’s primary goal is to advance the delivery of grass roots golf instruction through the collaboration and coordination of qualified golf professionals, skilled amateurs, health care professionals, and local organizations. Together, we can provide resources to increase the effective contribution to the special needs community. There are more than 55 million* physically disabled individuals in the United States. According to the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA), 17 million would like to play golf but only 5 million play today. Many who want to learn stated that golf facilities didn’t know how or want to serve them. Our intention is to include golfers with physical and mental challenges regardless of source or origin, assisting them in focusing on the positive aspects of their lives and increasing their sense of enjoyment.* 2010 U.S. Census
