Fresh Cuts Foundation

Fresh-Cuts Foundation, a youth-focused organization, was established in June 2018 by Andrew Owinyi, a standard two school drop-out who through sheer determination and discipline has become one of the most well-known barbers in Nairobi. The aim of the Foundation is to increase access to livelihoods opportunities for young men and women living in low-income areas through hands-on hair and beauty skills training. To address this gap, Fresh-Cuts Foundation offers professional training on barbering and beauty treatment skills (manicure/pedicure/facials) to young people between the ages 15 and 30 years through outreach programmes in low-income areas. Trainees for the program are usually identified and selected in consultations with community based organisations.
