FOF's passion is inspiring community conversations for sustainable change. FOF events and projects focus on the social, cultural, environmental, and economic aspects of community sustainability, and are designed to enable and encourage communication and collaboration between and among people from all sectors, ages, ethnicities, cultures, abilities, and genders. Highly acclaimed events include the Building SustainAble Communities conferences, Reel Change SustainAbility Film Fests, Eco-Blast Kids’ Camps, and Talking DIRTy x FOF’s most recent programs include the virtual HEADS UP! Community Mental Health Summit and the HEADS UP! Community Mental Health Podcast. These compelling educational programs combine science with storytelling to explore a wide range of mental health issues with people from all walks of life (e.g, those with lived experience of mental illness and recovery, mental health professionals, leading-edge research and technology experts, policy specialists, local government officials, nonprofit staff, and citizen advocates).
