With over 50 years of industry experience, FresH2O Growers has become an innovator in hydroponic growing and growing systems. We are a family owned business with a passion for quality produce. We believe quality hydroponics starts with the water. Joe Van Windgerden, owner and operator, has an extensive background in growing and greenhouse technologies. He has installed over 4 million square foot of greenhouse and has developed a proprietary hydroponic lettuce system that FresH2O Growers utilizes. Our 12-acre greenhouse in Stevensburg, Virginia is a family owned operation. Located 50 miles southwest of Washington, DC, we serve as a local produce grower for the Mid-Atlantic region. Our mission is to grow and offer the best quality produce to the local market at a competitive price so that more consumers can enjoy locally-grown products. We also believe in growing and buying locally to eliminate transport times and reduce carbon emissions. Shorter transport times result in better quality and fresher produce while lower carbon emissions are better for the environment.
