Friction Films

I’m a filmmaker, director and cinematographer with more than 25 years of experience in commercial and narrative filmmaking. Friction Films is not a traditional production company, but my independent creative practice — a way to work with full authorship, flexibility and visual control. I operate as a solo filmmaker and am fully available as a freelance director and/or DOP for production companies and agencies, collaborating within existing teams or taking on end-to-end responsibility when a lean setup is required. My skill set spans the full filmmaking process: concept development, directing, cinematography, editing, color, VFX, motion graphics and AI-assisted visuals. This allows me to move quickly, iterate efficiently and maintain a consistent cinematic language from first idea to final delivery. I regularly work on high-end commercials and branded content, as well as compact productions with tighter budgets — always with the same focus: strong storytelling, visual precision and production efficiency, without compromising on quality. I combine traditional filmmaking craft with modern (AI-driven) tools where they genuinely add value — not as a gimmick, but as a way to expand creative possibilities, speed up workflows and keep ambitious visuals achievable. Whether embedded in a larger production or working solo, my role is always the same: deliver cinematic, thoughtful work with clarity, responsibility and momentum.
