Friendly Exchange

Friendly Exchange brings opportunities for young students to immerse in the American and/or Guatemalan Culture, learn the language, personal growth, and learn to appreciate their own country. Since 1978 our flag program is a caring Cultural Family Experience, that offers an opportunity for Guatemalan children, 11 to 16 years old, to immerse in the American Culture and language for 9 weeks. At the same time, American families will share their home and way of living, while learning from the Guatemalan culture. Furthermore, Friendly Exchange offers diverse ways to connect both countries by making Guatemala one of the American schools’ destinations, and by connecting classrooms through enlightening interactions.
