Friends Share Community Space is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and friendships through food, music, coffee, wine, art, and workshops. As a volunteer-run not-for-profit organization, we provide a welcoming and inclusive “third place” and consider ourselves a neighborhood living room—a comfortable, inviting space where everyone feels at home. Through free events and reinvestment in our space and community, we strive to cultivate a vibrant and supportive environment that nurtures belonging, well-being, creativity, and joy. Located north of Powell Butte Natural Park in the Small Mall on Powell Blvd, our community space aims to serve our local neighborhoods by providing a nearby accessible space where there will always be fun, exciting, creative, and diverse events to attend every weekend. We truly believe placemaking is incredibly important to the health and well-being of our communities, and our goal is to provide a space where everyone can feel welcomed, safe, and most importantly, connected to those around them! We envision a thriving, connected community where people from all backgrounds can gather, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. Through our commitment to placemaking and developing social capital, Friends Share Community Space seeks to be a model for grassroots community engagement, where creativity, inclusivity, and collaboration drive positive change. We aim to normalize active community spaces that are people-driven rather than profit-driven.
