Frontera de Salud is a healthcare service program that brings medical and healthy living services to underserved areas of Texas. Our interdisciplinary, student-run program relies on the support of faculty volunteers and healthcare providers to identify community healthcare needs and develop sustainable, preventive healthcare programs tailored to the local under-served community. Our mission is to provide additional competencies in primary healthcare settings and expose students to the most under-served and disadvantaged communities to engender empathy, compassion, and a commitment to service.
