Since 2017, Frontera has been in the Oil and Gas sector providing commercial and technical advisory to multinational oil & gas service companies and financial institutions doing business in Mexico and Latin America. Since inception in 2001, Frontera has focused on providing procurement services to clients in the Mexican Oil and Gas sector, as well as commercial consultancy to international service companies interested in entering the Mexican market. Frontera has advised and assisted numerous international drillers, support vessel operators, marine construction outfits, dredging contractors and floating production companies in the planning and execution of their Mexican operations. In many cases these opportunities have led to the provision of personnel, including offshore crews and other technical profiles, as well as the responsibility for the development of industrial facilities to support successfully procured projects. Over the past 15 years, Frontera has developed approximately US$1.5 billion of projects and has developed significant expertise in the Mexican Oil and Gas sector, including the current Mexican energy reform. This deep rooted experience and knowledge of the local market has also allowed Frontera the opportunity to provide consultancy to global banks and other lenders in support of restructuring and related “workout” activities.
