Ftero Wind Energy
Our goal is to develop a fully autonomous Airborne Wind Energy System in cooperation with the Laboratory of Composite Materials and Adaptive Structures (CMAS) of ETH Zurich supported by BKW. Our Airborne Wind Energy approach bases on a carbon aircraft which is attached to a ground-based generator by tether. With higher altitudes reachable as in conventional wind energy solutions, more energy could be extracted from the wind.
