Funush Private Limited was a Bangladesh-based company. Since 2014, we had helped different organizations and brands engage young audiences through interactive campaigns and offline events. While these small-scale initiatives were exciting, we felt the need to redefine our focus. After our formal incorporation in 2017, we started working on a new and ambitious venture – CareerKi. In Bangladesh, the youth have limited access to information and guidance on career opportunities. Skill development and assessment remain challenging for them. On the other hand, recruiters often struggle to find local skilled workers. This mismatch is prevalent across industries, affecting the country’s human capital. CareerKi aimed to solve this problem by connecting skilled job seekers with potential recruiters. The venture received support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and ICT Division of the Government of Bangladesh. At its peak, CareerKi attracted up to users per month, which was a testament to the impact of our work. Unfortunately, our operations ground to a halt during the pandemic, leading to the closure of Funush in 2021.
