Dr. Kiarash Bassiri and his family were drawn to Raleigh, NC for its reputable higher education institutions over 28 years ago. So it seemed fitting that once Dr. Bassiri graduated from high school he would attend North Carolina State University for his undergraduate studies. At NC State, Dr. Bassiri majored and earned a degree in Microbiology with a minor in genetics. It was at NC State that Dr. Bassiri would learn about and grow to love the field of Optometry.
