As a little country down the bottom of the globe, New Zealand punches above its weight on the world stage. As the first to see the sun, we’re up early and at Fusion, we use that head-start to explore innovation, look for opportunities, and roll up our sleeves. As the market leader for audio entertainment in the marine industry, this approach is working. It helps that we were practically raised on seawater. From Fusion’s birthplace in Auckland – the ‘City of Sails’ – to the fact that no spot in NZ is more than 120kms (or 75miles) from the sea, we know about life on the water. We also know the marine environment is tough on materials – especially electronics – so we deconstructed the boating experience to design and engineer purpose-built products from the ground up. More recently, we've been increasing our firepower. Fusion was acquired by commercially strong global brand Garmin in 2014, blending Fusion’s passion with Garmin’s engineering grunt. With Garmin, we’ve been able to bring the latest technology and innovation into our products and enhance their usability – putting control firmly in our customer’s hands (or on their wrists!) With a deep understanding of our customers and extensive R&D, we deliver cutting-edge products that last – enhancing our customers’ lives on the water season after season. We’ve raised the bar, with our True-Marine approach becoming the industry standard. Call us old-fashioned but, to us, business is not only about having a great product (although we have those too!), it’s also about people. This means customer-centric design, the best possible service and building real, solid relationships. To do this we have to be on the ground – and our ground is global, so that’s where we play!
