Technology holds an increasing amount of power. Pop culture (Spiderman) taught us what comes with great power.(and it is not just sh*t ton of money - as most tech giants seem to have internalised). There is a group of technologists - still a minority - that are pushing for responsible use of tech. Reflecting on our share of responsibility, we no longer have interest in helping huge corporations that rob societies of attention, relationships, sleep and at times lives (US DoD contracts)- only to give back of astronomic earnings to well-PRed stories. We strive to be part of efforts that are solving problems for the 99%, not the oversubscribed rich 1%. Education is a great equalizer and so can be tech. We happen to be fond of equality.
