GalleryInfo was founded in 2012, when social media played a small role among the people, with the approach of creating a comprehensive platform for reporting on the events of the Iranian artistic sphere. It first aimed to facilitate access to visual arts information for the audience. As social media spread, these goals were extended. Although this platform is mainly focused on Iranian artists and art, it also strives to cover international events and currents of art. Its future aim is to develop an information platform using various media to become the documented reference of contemporary Iranian art. Through its experience and the use of the most up-to-date information, GalleryInfo intends to transcend geographical borders and take a step towards introducing the contemporary Iranian art sphere in the international media.
