La Gallotti & Radice è stata la prima azienda in Italia, fin dai primi anni sessanta, a promuovere l’amore per lo studio e per l’impiego del cristallo nell’arredamento. Altri uomini e altre imprese ne hanno più tardi seguito l’esempio. Questo dato costituisce oggi, naturalmente, un vanto, ma insieme anche una sorta di responsabilità concreta nei confronti della cultura e, in particolare, del design. La Gallotti & Radice si sente, ed è, oggi, investita del compito e del ruolo di continuare, di tenere vivo lo sviluppo del “vero” design del cristallo. Il cristallo, che è insieme fragilissimo e fortissimo, trasparente ed immutabile, leggero ed eterno, va avvicinato, da chi ne progetta l’architettura, con sincero rispetto e con intimo trasporto, con autentica poesia ( che è la vera creatività, come conferma il suo etimo greco) e con intensa disciplina, con pazienza, reverenza, tenacia. Con amore. Gallotti & Radice was the first company in Italy, right from the early seventies, to promote their love for the studio and the use of glass within furniture arrangements. Other people and companies later followed suit. This fact, presently and only naturally provides an advantage, but at the same time, also signifies a sense of responsibility in light of culture and specifically, design. Gallotti & Radice is aware of this, and has presently assumed the task and role of continuing, keeping alive, the development of "genuine" glass designs. Glass, which is simultaneously extremely fragile and strong, transparent and unchangeable, light and enduring, must be tackled, by those designing architectural arrangements, with sincere respect and careful handling, with authentic poetry (which is true creativity as the Greek etymon confirms) and with intense discipline, with patience, reverence, tenacity.
