Gate Polytechnic Academy

Established in 2017, the GATE Vocational FAB hospitality school has provided internationally accredited vocational training to over 350 disadvantaged young adults. It has provided students who have typically been pushed away from formal education an alternative means of learning to lift themselves, their families, and their communities out of poverty, even guaranteeing students a job upon completing their courses! We initially provided courses in housekeeping, food and beverage service and production – all of which also include learning & courses in IT, English and life skills. Since then, however, several more courses have been added including in barista and bakery and our model has evolved to now provide accommodation and food and beverage services to the general public and tourists wishing to understand more about the school whilst surrounded by the spectacular Himalayan views and calmness of the village surroundings.
