Gateway Entertainment

Gateway Entertainment is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating meaningful career pathways in the film and television industry for individuals from underserved communities, with a particular focus on behind-the-camera roles. Founded in 2019, Gateway bridges the gap between education and employment through hands-on training programs that are directly connected to real film and television productions. Our work began with the Inaugural Indigenous Filmmakers Lounge at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and has since expanded to include large-scale professional training initiatives, youth programs, and international workforce development partnerships. Gateway’s programs combine classroom instruction, practical workshops, and on-set experience across all major film departments, preparing participants to enter the industry with real skills, professional credits, and long-term career potential. Through partnerships with studios, production companies, film commissions, and cultural institutions, Gateway helps cultivate the next generation of filmmakers while strengthening local production ecosystems.
