GD Harries is one of Wales’s largest independent suppliers of aggregates, as well as being a major civil engineering business delivering multimillion pound infrastructure projects. The business operates two divisions: 1. Construction Materials, which supplies aggregates, rock armour, readymix concrete, liquid screed and asphalt. Construction Services, which include civil engineering, road construction and resurfacing, sea defence projects and earthworks. The civil engineering division delivers significant infrastructure projects throughout Wales. The company owns 7 granite, limestone, and sandstone quarries, 3 asphalt plants and 5 readymix concrete plants, and employs over 240 members of staff. We invest in the local workforce, work with local suppliers, and pride ourselves on our technical expertise, customer service, and the highest levels of product quality. With extensive experience in all aspects of Civil Engineering, we offer the complete package from design to completion. We bring a breadth of experience to each project from our in-house team of skilled personnel, including groundworkers, engineers, estimators, and project managers, all working under the umbrella of comprehensive health and safety and quality management systems. We are used extensively by local authorities as well as by private, industrial and commercial clients, to undertake a range of civil engineering projects including all aspects of groundworks, earth moving, sewage works, highways schemes, utility and local authority framework packages, coastal protection works, river revetment works, and land reclamation schemes.
