GEARS is a small business offering consulting services to federal and state/local governments, foundations & CBOs to help improve public programs and services. GEARS has niche expertise in designing and analyzing program evaluations with an understanding that culture, social norms, gender, & politics can have on evaluation results. We unravel these complexities using language that all stakeholders understand & provide training, data management support, & consultation services that ensure our results benefit both funders and their grantees. GEARS also has substantial experience conducting and analyzing focus groups. GEARS provides surge support in administrative and technical areas. Our project managers are knowledgeable and follow PMBOK implementation strategies. GEARS supports clients with IT security needs supported by experienced and certified staff. We also develop and support federally approved 508-compliant websites and content management portals. As the national technical assistance (TA) contractor for HRSA’s HIV/AIDS Bureau GEARS managed over 200 TA engagements and created a web based TA tracking product adaptable for a variety of TA topics. This product is dynamic, includes an approval process and saves our future clients significant time and money in development costs.
