Open Source Access to Digital Knowledge. GEE Nairobi is a Track of GDG Nairobi dedicated to eradicating poverty, enhancing socioeconomic and environmental biodiversity by use of Google Technologies. The community mission is ensuring inclusion of marginalized groups (youth) in critical issues of on Environment, Climate, thus fostering Gender and Social Inclusion. Community members freely learn, share knowledge, and develop innovative tech solutions for sustainability. Members share technical expertise amongst themselves to enhance development effectiveness and encourage innovative application of cutting-edge to tackle most complex development challenges while fostering inclusive and sustainable transformation. The community use Google Earth Engine, Google Earth, Google Maps, Remote Sensing tools and other Earth Observation technologies. It invests in youth ensuring while ensuring diversity and inclusion. It's a team of innovative change-makers learning and developing environmentally suitable products collaboratively. We leverage on Remote Sensing, Earth Observation techniques, & technologies to make a significant contribution to climate change and environmental sustainability. The community is actively learning, and collaborating with industry experts like developers, climate scientists, industry experts, and local communities to spur impact at a wider scale. Our openness to collaboration solidifies our mission to create a more sustainable future for our planet and its people. We invite experts to share knowledge with our community, experiences, and opportunities in Earth Observation technologies. We get to share the news from of Google Earth announced in GEE summits. Our developer community culture is defined by openness, mutual support and enjoyment to work for social impact while sharing success. This way, we have developed our skills to deliver continuously and exceedingly quality, impactful and sustainable projects to our communities.
