Geiger & Associates Public Relations, Inc. was founded by Debbie Geiger in 1985 after she left the Florida Division of Tourism, where she served as Bureau Chief of the state’s 19-member Tourism Publicity Bureau. Our firm and its 25 destination marketing specialists have assisted more than 200 destination marketing organizations and other tourism industry clients in communicating specific messages to various audiences of journalists and other opinion influencers/potential visitors/revenue sources. Those 200+ clients include state tourism agencies (such as those for Tennessee, Michigan and Wisconsin); large urban CVBs (such as those for San Antonio, Nashville and Albuquerque); smaller community CVBs (such as those for Door County, the Alabama Gulf Coast and Fredericksburg and the Texas Hill Country), regional tourism organizations (such as Ski New Mexico, the Southern & Eastern Kentucky Tourism Development Association and Canada’s Tourism Directorate of New Brunswick); New Urbanism communities (such as Rosemary Beach, Seaside and I’On), resorts (such as Amelia Island Plantation Resort & Spa, The Westin La Cantera Hill Country Resort and Big Cedar Lodge); international clients (such as Virgin Atlantic, Elegant Ireland and Tourism Tasmania); and other types of organizations with a tourism marketing component (such as the National Trust for Historic Preservation, U.S. Forest Service and Bass Pro Shops).
